St. Peter's Episcopal Church
Children's and Youth Choir Registration
2005-2006

Welcome to Children's and Youth Choirs
Of St. Peter's Episcopal Church!

This year St. Peter's Episcopal will offer four choirs for young people:

Cherubs Choir: Preschool through Grade 1 practice on Wednesdays alternating with the Shepherds Choir from 6:10 - 6:30 p.m.
Shepherds Choir: Grades 2 through 5 practice on Wednesdays alternating with the Cherubs Choir from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m.,
Middle School practice Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:00 p.m., and the second Sunday of the month from 8:30 - 8:50 a.m.
High School The schedule is currently being reconstructed and will be forthcoming.

This is a departure from children's choirs at St. Peter's in the past. After seeing the presentation of Godspell in May, and seeing how the giving of the talent of all the youth in the church benefits everyone at St. Peter's, I believe a graded choir program is needed here to continue that involvement and enthusiasm. A graded, age-appropriate program tailored to the needs of the children and youth would best suit their needs and interests as they grow and develop, and would give them opportunities to combine occasionally into larger groups. If similar, successful programs in other churches are an indication, the children and youth will be motivated to participate.

Each group can expect to sing at the 9:00 a.m. service on an assigned Sunday every month:

First Sunday of the month High School
Second Sunday of the month Middle School
Third Sunday of the month Grades 2 through 5
Fourth Sunday of the month Preschool through Grade1
Fifth Sundays of a month

to be determined

You will be notified via phone, e-mail, or church bulletin if there are changes due to having combined choirs sing, special services, or other occasions.
