Emmaus/First Acts is a program intended to assist travelers along the Emmaus Road (Luke 24: 13-35). Emmaus Groups meet in homes to share fellowship and to support each other as members strive to follow God; informal conversation and refreshments are followed by opening prayer and the program. All that is required is an inquiring mind and a Bible. Sojourners, seekers, and anyone longing to have a deeper spiritual conversation with fellow parishioners, to seek affirmation, ask questions, or even raise doubts about the faith, is encouraged to consider participating—those already comfortable in their faith journeys as well as those who sometimes feel like a lukewarm pagan.
