Join us as we welcome The Rev. Tricia Lyons as a guest preacher for our Sunday services on July 11.
Patricia “Tricia” Lyons currently teaches evangelism, works with the Lifelong Learning team at Virginia Theological Seminary and serves as the Senior Advisor to the Dean for Evangelism Initiatives at VTS. She also directs the [email protected], a digital portal on YouTube and Facebook offering original content from the Seminary as well as thoughtful curation of resources in evangelism and formation for the wider church. Tricia was a lay chaplain and teacher of religion in Episcopal Schools for 20 years before being ordained a priest and then serving parishes in Washington, DC, and eventually serving as Canon for Evangelism in the Diocese of Washington. Currently Tricia also serves as a non-stipendiary priest at the Church of Saint Clement in Alexandria, VA.
Tricia is a member of the Presiding Bishop’s Strategic Cabinet on Evangelism and one of the original writers of the “Way of Love.” Tricia is an honors graduate from Harvard College, the Harvard Divinity School and received her doctorate from the Virginia Theological Seminary. She is the author of four books on faith formation, “The Soul of Adolescence,” “Teaching Faith with Harry Potter,” “What is Evangelism?” and her most recent, “The Evangelist’s Breviary.”

With lunch, laughter, speeches and gifts, the people of St. Peter’s celebrated the 19-year ministry of retiring Rector, the Rev. Craig A. Phillips, Ph.D. , and thanked Father Craig and Meta for their dedication, service and friendship. Senior Night, 2021
On 6 June, St. Peter’s recognized its 18 graduating seniors in a service led by Director of Youth Programs Emily Lettau. Graduating seniors shared their favorite memories of St. Peter’s, which included the plays, weekends at Shrine Mont, Wednesday evening choir practice, the music program, and support in times of grief.
