Music at St. Peter’s

Make a Joyful Noise!

Music has been an integral part of St. Peter’s for decades. Over 60 volunteer musicians enhance our worship through four choral groups and a handbell ensemble. Our annual Messiah sing-along celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2019, and hundreds of young people have participated in our biennial St. Peter’s Music Productions.

Adult Choir

A regular presence at Sunday services, the Adult Choir rehearses twice a month on Wednesday nights. Its 25 members offer a wide range of anthems – including contemporary choral works, Renaissance motets, Mozart and more. Membership is open to all; no audition required! More here.

Youth Choir

Singers from elementary school through high school gather three Sunday mornings a month to sing. They are periodically joined by the St. Peter’s Singers (see below), forming a vibrant intergenerational choir. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings, and all are welcome! More here.

Men’s Choir

A terrific group of gentlemen sings and rehearses once a month! More here.

Handbell Choir

6-8 parishioners ring two-octave handbells about once a month. It’s a fun and open group, and they’re always looking to recruit more ringers! No experience required. More here.

St. Peter’s Singers

Several times a month, music-loving adults join the Youth Choir for special multi-generational anthems. This is a great entry point for Music at St. Peter’s as rehearsals are limited to the half hour immediately preceding the service, and the anthems are enjoyable and easy! More here.

Music Director Don Witman leads the Adult Choir, Men’s Choir and Handbell Choir. Organist James Selway leads the Youth Choir and St. Peter’s Singers. Meet them here.
