Singers from elementary school through high school form the Youth Choir. They gather three Sunday mornings a week to sing at the 9:00 service, and they rehearse weekly on Wednesdays at 6pm.
The Youth Choir is periodically joined by adults in St. Peter’s Singers (SPS), forming a vibrant intergenerational choir! SPS is a great entry point for Music at St. Peter’s, as rehearsals are limited to the half hour immediately preceding the 9am service, and the anthems are enjoyable and easy!
These young singers form the core of St. Peter’s biennial Music Production, where they are joined by other St. Peter’s youth and guests from outside the parish. These productions typically involve over 50 performers and twice as many parish volunteers in a vibrant community-building experience. Previous productions have included Narnia, Godspell, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Jim Selway leads these groups in a welcoming, inclusive, and relaxed fashion that is the very spirit of Music at St. Peter’s! Write [email protected] for information.
