Sunday School!

A typical reaction to a St. Peter’s Sunday School class…

St. Peter’s makes every effort to inject a healthy amount of FUN into its Christian formation for kids.  Here is the class line-up:

  • Infant – 3 years Nursery  8:45 a.m. – 12:00 noon
  • Pre-K – 5th grade Children’s Sermon  9:00 a.m. service  1st Sunday of the month
  • Pre-K – 1st grade Godly Play  9:05 – 9:35 a.m.–leave from and return to service
  • 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month
  • Pre-K – 7th grade Sunday School  10:00 – 10:50 a.m.
  • 8th grade Confirmation Class  10:00 – 10:50 a.m.
  • 9th – 12th grades Ten-Spot
  • 4th – 12th grades Acolyte Service (training required)  All three services
  • 1st –  12th grades Children and Youth Choirs  9:00 a.m.  1st and 3rd Sundays  Rehearsals on Wednesdays – Youth at 6:00 p.m.  Children’s at 6:45 p.m.

Time: 10:00 a.m. most Sundays–Sunday School starts on 9/9/18!

Godly Play: 
Age 3 through 1st Grade

A sensory learning experience for St. Peter’s youngest parishioners as they explore sacred stories and big pictures of our faith.  Most Sundays at the 9 a.m. service.

Time: 9:05 a.m. – 9:35 a.m. (leave from and return to service) 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month

The Messiest of Messy Games at Godzilla!

Godzilla Youth Group:
6th through 12th Grades

This is where fellowship meets friendship at St. Peter’s.  Kids meet on Wednesdays and the occasional weekend to bond, play games, laugh and take a wondrous field trip or two.  If you’ve never experienced Messy Games, pumpkin bowling, King’s Dominion, ice skating, and dozens of other kooky fun activities, you need to be there.

Dates: 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at St. Peter’s

Dinner is provided: Time: 7:00 p.m. until 8:45 p.m.

Family Ministry  Families with Young Children:
Pre-K through 5th Grades

Cornerstones provides a healthy, happy environment for young families to play together in an atmosphere of active learning.  From campouts on the church grounds to potluck suppers, what a lively a place for you and your children!

Lenten Youth Program

From Harry Potter to The Wizard of Oz, St. Peter’s youth take a Christian journey through the lens of the classics—a truly incredible experience for children and adults, alike!

Time: During the Lenten Season, every other year (next program will be in 2019)

Combined Youth & Children’s Choirs:
4th through 12th Grades

Have you ever heard angels sing?  Youth Music Director, Jim Selway, has a way of polishing the musical halos of St. Peter’s young singers.  It is simply heavenly!

Choir Rehearsal: starts back up in the fall…Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.

St. Peter’s Youth Mission Trip to West Virginia–They’re BAAAAAACK!!

An incredible group parents, clergy, volunteers and especially kids just returned from their Youth Mission Trip to West Virginia.  From July 29th through August 3rd, St. Peter’s youth traveled to Charleston, West Virginia for a mission trip. They joined other churches through YouthWorks, a Christian organization that organizes numerous short-term domestic mission trips for youth annually.
