Early Start

The Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church mission team officially began our journey today with a very early start. We met at Reagan National Airport around 4:30 AM, eager and ready to begin our mission trip to the Dominican Republic.

Our first stop was Miami International Airport, where we took a welcome break to enjoy lunch at La Carreta, a popular Cuban restaurant. The skirt steak came highly recommended—and it did not disappoint!

From Miami, we continued on to Puerto Plata, arriving at the local airport around 3:00 PM. After a long day of travel and transitions, we finally reached our hotel, where we had time to rest, regroup, and enjoy dinner together.

Tired but thankful, we ended the day with gratitude and anticipation for the week ahead. Tomorrow begins our hands-on mission work—serving the local community through faith, fellowship, and compassion.
