Belonging & Baptism

A deeper step in life and faith

You don’t have to be a member to worship here.
You don’t have to have everything figured out to belong.

But over time, many people find themselves wanting something more—

a deeper connection, a shared commitment, a place to call home.

This page is about that next step.

Membership

Membership at St. Peter’s is a way of saying:

this is my spiritual home.

It is a commitment to:

  • worship regularly

  • grow in faith

  • share in the life of the community

  • serve others in Christ’s name

Membership isn’t about having everything in place.

It’s about choosing to walk this path with others.

If you’re beginning to feel at home here,
we would love to talk with you about becoming a member.

For many, that sense of belonging begins in baptism.

Baptism

Baptism is the beginning of life in Christ.

Through water and the Holy Spirit,
we are welcomed into the Body of Christ
and marked as God’s own forever.

In the Episcopal Church, baptism is something we do together.

In baptism, we make promises:

to continue in the life of faith
to seek and serve Christ in all persons
to grow in love

People of all ages are baptized—
children, youth, and adults.

A Life of Faith

Baptism is not the end of something. It is the beginning of a lifelong journey.

A life shaped over time by:

prayer
community
service
and grace

Whether you are exploring baptism for yourself or your child,

we would be glad to take that step with you.
