Formation for Families

Family life at Saint Peter’s is about more than getting through Sunday morning. We want children, parents, and caregivers to find friendship, support, and rhythms of faith that can be carried into everyday life. Here, families are welcomed not only into worship, but into a shared life of prayer, conversation, celebration, and belonging.

The woman on the right has curly light brown hair, glasses, and is wearing a purple jacket with a red lanyard. They are holding drinks, one with a clear cup and the other with a can, and there are trees and houses in the background.

For Parents & Caregivers

Parents do not have to do this alone. Through parent coffees, parent forums, book groups, and the family newsletter, Saint Peter’s offers encouragement, conversation, and practical support for the work of raising children in faith.

A Rhythm of Worshipping Together

Families belong in worship, and some moments in the church year are shaped especially with children in mind. On First Sundays, we gather at 10:15 AM with a children’s homily, children’s choir, and a shorter service that helps families participate more easily.

We also make room for shared practices across the seasons, including a family-friendly service on Ash Wednesday.

Family Fridays @5

Family Fridays @ 5 offers a simple way to gather at the end of the week for worship, connection, and time together.

We offer a simple meal and, when the weather is good, we meet outside on the patio while the kids play on the nature-based playground.

It is an easy, joyful space for families to come as they are and share in the life of the parish.

Through the Year

Family life at Saint Peter’s has a rhythm all its own. We gather for Welcome Sunday, All Hallows Fest with Trunk or Treat, Advent and Epiphany events, Shrine Mont, and summer fun like the family pool party. These moments help families build friendships, mark the church year, and let church feel like home.

Faith at Home

We also want faith to take root beyond church walls.

Saint Peter’s offers take-home resources such as our summer faith boxes to go, Holy Week in a bag, and other seasonal take-homes with simple practices that households can carry into the week, so that church becomes not only a place you come to, but a way of life you grow into together.
