Membership at Saint Peter’s

A deeper step in life and faith

You do not have to be a member to worship here. You do not have to have everything figured out to belong.

But sometimes, over time, what begins as a visit becomes something more: a deeper connection, a shared commitment, a place to call home.

If Saint Peter’s is becoming that place for you, we would be honored to walk with you in the next step.

What membership means

Membership at Saint Peter’s is a way of saying:

this is my spiritual home.

It is a commitment to worship regularly, grow in faith, share in the life of the community, and serve others in Christ’s name.

Membership is not about having all the answers.
It is about choosing to root yourself in a community where you can pray, grow, serve, and be known

A few different paths

Already baptized
If you are already baptized and Saint Peter’s is becoming your church home, we would love to talk with you about becoming a member.

Coming from another church
Whether you are transferring from an Episcopal parish or coming from another Christian tradition, we will help you discern the next step.

Exploring baptism
Baptism is the beginning of life in Christ. If you are considering baptism for yourself or your child, we would be glad to talk with you.

Considering confirmation, reception, or reaffirmation
If you are ready for a deeper public commitment, we would be glad to help you discern the right path.

How to begin

Becoming a member usually begins simply:

  • come to worship

  • start a conversation with the clergy

  • share your story

  • discern the next faithful step together

After you reach out, we will begin with a conversation and help you discern what comes next — whether that means membership, baptism, confirmation, reception, reaffirmation, or simply continuing to get to know the community.

We will take it at your pace.
