Explore nature on our 5-acre campus

God created all things, including the creeping things and wild animals and this summer St. Peter’s will celebrate God’s creation with an innovative summer camp.

Saint Peter’s Nature Camp re-imagines Vacation Bible School by integrating faith and science. Open to children ages 4 through 5th grade.

August 10-14, 2025 from 9 AM to 3 PM with a half-day 9 am–noon option. Full-day program open to children who have finished kindergarten. The camp will also include two evening events that will be open to the entire family.

Register

–– Our Naturalist

George Steele

Our featured naturalist for the week, George, worked in the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Endangered Species Unit and has been studying the natural world his entire professional life. After retiring from NYS, he continues to teach children across the northeast in schools, libraries, and summer camps with hands-on experiences of nature.

St. Peter’s Nature Camp is where children meet God and science meets faith. It recognizes that God is active in the world and we are all called to be good stewards of creation. Campers will meet with George Steele, a professional naturalist, to inspect microscopic life in pond water, dissect owl pellets, recycle paper, and much more.
