September 1 - October 6

Season of Creation

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy. (Psalm 96:11-12)

–– Let the trees sing for joy.

Caring for Creation

Saint Peter’s enjoys the legacy of our founders who had the foresight to purchase five acres of land in the middle of residential neighborhoods. For more than 60 years we have been caring for these grounds — adding a inviting walkways for neighborhood dog walks, a quiet place to remember those who have died, a parking lot for countless teens to practice driving, a playground and a basketball hoop for children. Our campus is home to loblolly pines, tulip trees, weeping cherry, magnolias, roses, azaleas, dogwoods, cyprus, and more. We planted a small community garden this summer and are now looking for ways to reduce coonsumption non-renewable energy. We seek to be keepers of creation.

Join us September 1 - October 6 as we turn our focus on caring for creation. See below for events including Adult Forums, a Blessing of the Animals, and special worship elements throughout the season.
