Meet Heidi and Miles
There’s a lot that happens at Saint Peter’s that you may never see — from preparing Sunday worship materials and keeping our member information up to date, to sharing the stories of our congregation through our website, newsletter, and social media.
We’re grateful for two people who help make that work happen: Heidi Doretich, who provides administrative support to Saint Peter’s through our partnership with Ministry Architects, and Miles Parsons, our Director of Communications.
Miles Parsons
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
We are delighted to introduce Miles Parsons, our new Director of Communications. Working remotely from Homewood, Alabama (just outside Birmingham), Miles will help us stay connected and share the good news of Christ with the weekly newsletter, the website, social media, our printed Sunday announcements, and more. We are grateful he is joining us to help tell the story of our growing congregation.
You can reach Miles at communications@saint-peters.org. If you have an event or program you'd like shared, please complete this communications request form.
A little about Miles
Hi, everyone! My name is Miles Parsons, and I’m excited to be joining Saint Peter’s as Communications Director. I’m looking forward to getting to know the parish community and sharing the wonderful things happening at Saint Peter’s.
I’m a graphic designer and communications professional with more than 30 years of experience in design, marketing, and communications. I’ve had the opportunity to serve in communications roles at both the parish and diocesan levels in the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama.
I’m based in Birmingham, Alabama, where I live with my wife, Christy, and our daughter, Kate, who is in the 11th grade. We attend St. Mary’s-on-the-Highlands Episcopal Church, where I previously served as Communications Director. I enjoy helping churches and nonprofits tell their stories, connect with their communities, and share the good work they’re doing.
Although I’ll be working remotely from Birmingham, I’m excited to be part of the Saint Peter’s community. I look forward to meeting you, hearing your stories, and helping share all that is happening at Saint Peter’s.
Have a Saint Peter’s event or program you’d like to share? Contact Miles at communications@saint-peters.org or use our communications request form.
Heidi Doretich
OFFICE SUPPORT
To help with the growing administrative needs of our congregation, in late spring 2025, we began working with Ministry Architects, a church consulting firm, for offsite administrative support. Through that partnership, Heidi Doretich has been helping our parish behind the scenes — preparing our weekly worship bulletins, making sure volunteers have completed Safe Church training, producing monthly Vestry reports, and managing our member portal (CCB). Many of you have met Heidi over the past year, and she has become a familiar part of our team. Now, we’re delighted to introduce her to the larger parish.
If you have questions about our member portal (CCB) or Safe Church training, you can reach Heidi at office@saint-peters.org
A little about Heidi
I'm writing to introduce myself, Heidi Doretich, and to express my excitement about being part of Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church through my work with Ministry Architects.
I'm a mother of four. My oldest, Alex, is now with the Lord and would be 28. My son JohnnyLee is 26 and living in North Carolina, my son Isaiah is 19 and living at home, and my daughter Genevieve is 12 and in 7th grade. I live in beautiful Millersburg, Ohio, right in the heart of Amish country.
For the past 36 years, I've been a faithful member of my home church, and I deeply understand and cherish the sense of belonging and spiritual growth that comes from being part of a church family.
Professionally, I've been working as a Remote Operations & Administrative Support for over a decade. It's in this role that I'll be working with your church, and I'm eager to offer my support and assistance.
I believe in the power of community and the importance of strong, thriving ministries. I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you and learning how I can best contribute to your church's mission.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I'm excited to be a part of what God is doing here.

Behind the scenes, helping Saint Peter’s grow
Whether it’s making sure Sunday’s bulletin is ready, keeping our parish information current, or helping the wider community discover what’s happening at Saint Peter’s, Heidi and Miles are helping us do something important: connect people with one another and with the life and ministry of our church.
We’re grateful for the gifts they bring to Saint Peter’s and look forward to the ways their work will help our congregation stay rooted and growing together in faith.
