St. Peter’s Parish Weekend Away

Every last weekend of April, our parish gets away to Shrine Mont, the camp and conference center for the Diocese of Virginia in Orkney Springs, VA. It’s a weekend of faith and fellowship. It’s a signature weekend for the parish.

What do we do at Shrine Mont?

Check-in starts at 4 PM on Friday. The weekend ends with lunch on Sunday. A typical weekend includes hiking, a fishing derby, adult faith formation gatherings, family olympics, a talent school, and an ice-cream social.

All activities are optional - if you want to take a nap or a hike, read a book, or relax in a rocking chair and soak up all the natural beauty all weekend, that is fine too!
