Serve Internationally

 Love reaches beyond borders.

We are part of a global community, connected through relationships that invite us to listen, learn, and grow.

Grounded in mutuality

Our international outreach is not about quick trips or one-time projects.

It is about long-term partnerships grounded in mutuality, trust, and shared hope. We go not just to give, but to receive—to be changed by what we encounter.

Our two international partnerships are in the Dominican Republic and South Africa.

Dominican Republic

Saint Peter’s has long-standing relationships with communities in the Dominican Republic. In 2025 an intergenerational team of 20 parishioners spent a week painting the Colegio Episcopal Niño Jesus school and churches in Montellano and Mozoví, and leading a Vacation Bible School. On earlier mission trips, we partnered with the Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic to help build and furnish the Niño Jesus school. This was St. Peter’s eighth mission trip since 2008.

This partnership features

  • Intergenerational participation

  • Supporting churches and schools

  • Leading Vacation Bible School

Work, worship, and shared life—together.

South Africa

We partner with organizations in the Western Cape that support children and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Our ministry there includes supporting homes and care programs, building relationships that deepen over time, and learning from the wisdom and leadership of those who know their communities best. These partnerships are not one-time efforts, but connections rooted in trust, presence, and shared hope.

  • Supporting homes and care programs

  • Building long-term relationships

  • Learning from local leadership

The Love Quilt Project, now an independent 501-3c, grew out of this partnership. Some parishioners continue to support the Love Quilt Project.

Connection that grows over time.

Global Response

When crisis comes, we respond as part of a wider church. Through the Episcopal Relief & Development, we join in work that is already underway—supporting disaster response, long-term recovery, and community resilience in places facing urgent need. This is one more way we live out our call to serve with compassion, humility, and faith.

Be part of something bigger

These experiences invite us into humility, relationship, and hope.
